Your Responsibilities

The Sustainability Office at ISTA is responsible for reporting and driving sustainable projects in campus organization, teaching and outreach. Next to reporting on the environmental footprint of the institute, we also interact with all units on campus to acquire data and provide feedback, in order to analyse and reduce our environmental footprint. We are looking for a motivated intern with great analytical skills and strong interest in the environment and climate to support us in gathering and analysing data.

• Analyse energy, travel and procurement data and their conversion to a CO2 footprint using the EU-taxonomy and CSRD
• Continually optimize the data gathering process
• Research and compare (life cycle) analysis tools and environmental reporting suppliers
• Help with setting up tools to create a comprehensive overview of the collected information
• Support the setup of a business travel reporting system
• Design presentations for the team and management
• Create detailed documentation of environmental data

Your Profile

• Ongoing studies in environmental science, controlling or related field
• Strong interest in environmental topics and sustainability
• Excellent Excel and data management skills
• Experience with and/or knowledge of EU-taxonomy and CSRD reporting of advantage
• Understanding of environmental data analysis and/or programming of advantage
• Very good command of English (working language)
• Attention to detail and thorough working style
• Strong communication and organizational skills
